Dominium Announces $380,000 in Trade School Grants for 2025
Program’s first two cycles support residents, employees and their families in pursuing high-demand careers
Dominium, a leading affordable housing developer, owner and manager, is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Trade School Award Program. Launched in 2025, this program provides critical financial support to Dominium residents, employees and their dependents, helping them pursue hands-on education in high-demand fields such as carpentry, electrical work, surgical technology, construction, welding, cosmetology and more.
This year, Dominium awarded 76 grants totaling $380,000 to individuals enrolled in trade or vocational colleges and certificate programs. The program supports a diverse range of scholars, reflecting Dominium’s commitment to creating pathways for personal and professional growth through education.
To qualify for a grant, applicants must either be a resident of a Dominium-owned property for a minimum of 6 months and remain in good standing, or be an employee of Dominium for a miniumum of 6 months. Custodial children and grandchildren of residents who were listed on the lease at the time of lease signing, as well those children of an employee may also apply. Applicants can be high school seniors, high school graduates (including GED), or current college undergraduates who plan to enroll in full or part-time study at an accredited vocational-technical program.
Scholarship recipients are accepted based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, and unusual personal or family circumstances. Once selected as a recipient, the student receives a $5,000 award.
