Plans for Vacant Four Seasons Mall Revamped

In the Community

The developer for the Four Seasons Mall property has adjusted plans for the site in response to community feedback. The Plymouth City Council got a look at the new plans at this week’s meeting.

Developer Dominium’s plans to redevelop the property at Highway 169 and Rockford Road are still preliminary and they are changing. The public spoke out about the previous plan being too dense.

The most noticeable change is in the number of affordable apartments. The developer lowered the count by 57 units to bring the total number of units to 163 and the height from four stories to three stories. To offset the cost of the reduction in units, the developer wants to increase the number of units in the senior building by 45 units to total 255 apartments and increase the height to six stories.

City council members had also expressed concern over the drive-thru restaurants on the property. So the developer also increased the size of the restaurant to attract sit-down restaurants beyond the fast casual type.
