New life at the old Schmidt Brewery: NPR News
October 27, 2011 - The west end icon, Schmidt Brewery, will find new life as Dominium plans to turn the bottle house and brew house into artist lofts, while the West 7th/ Fort Road Federation, who has purchased the Rathskeller, formally the Schmidt office building, has plans to turn it into a restaurant and reception hall. Dominium and the West 7th /Fort Road Federation put together a kick-off event at the Rathskeller on October 26 to celebrate the impending renovations which brought out hundreds of St. Paul residents eager to hear about the changes that will be made to the St. Paul landmark.
