October 17, 2011 - After being vacant for nearly seven years, the Schmidt Brewery will get a new face as Dominium announces its plan to begin renovations on the property. Dominium is also holding a kick-off event on October 26 to celebrate the changes that will take place at the historic landmark. The event will include key note speeches from Dave Thune, a St. Paul City Council Member who helped Dominium obtain historic designation, along with Mark Moorhouse and Ed Johnson, the executive director of the West 7th / Fort Road Federation.
