Dominium Hosts Grand Re-Opening of Castlewood Apartments in Davenport

Property News

The developer partnered with the National Housing Trust to complete the project

Dominium announced today the grand re-opening of Castlewood apartments in Davenport, Iowa on May 21st. The re-opening ceremony celebrates the development’s first renovation since it was constructed in 1980.

To facilitate the necessary capital improvements, Dominium sought to form a strategic alliance with National Housing Trust-Enterprise Preservation Corporation (NHTE). NHTE is one of the nation's leading non-profit owners of affordable rental housing.

Dominium and NHTE acquired the property in 2016 by a partnership controlled by NHTE, with Dominium remaining as property manager, and acting as project developer. The renovation was completed in December of 2017.

Interior improvements in the 96 units of Castlewood Apartments include new entry doors, bathroom fixtures, bathroom cabinets with accessories, kitchen cabinets, light fixtures, flooring and interior door repairs. New exterior amenities include a playground, landscaping, roofing and siding, and a complete renovation of the clubhouse.
