The Scott will add 184 affordable apartment homes for individuals and families in Oklahoma City

Dominium, a leading national affordable housing owner, developer and manager, has announced the acquisition of land in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with plans to construct a new affordable housing community. Located at 2124 NW 192nd St., The Scott marks Dominium's second new construction project in the state of Oklahoma.

Once completed, The Scott will provide 184 high-quality, affordable homes designed to serve hardworking individuals and families. Featuring a mix of two-story walk-up and townhome style-buildings, residents will enjoy access to modern amenities, including a clubhouse, fitness center, business center, playground and community pool. Each home will feature in-unit washers and dryers, granite countertops, luxury vinyl plank flooring and stainless-steel appliances.

The development is made possible through the Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. Nationwide, LIHTC is the largest source of support for the construction and maintenance of affordable housing communities. In exchange for tax credits, affordable housing developers and operators agree to maintain rents at levels tied to the Area Median Income (AMI). Construction of LIHTC properties has a positive effect on the local housing market by increasing the supply of affordable housing.

Dominium would like to thank its development partners, including Freddie Mac, JLL Real Estate Capital, Deutsche Bank, Tradition Capital Bank, RBC Community Investments, Monarch Private Capital, Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency, Langston Hughes, the City of Oklahoma City, Winthrop & Weinstine, BKV Group, Johnson & Associates, Box Law Group, The Public Finance Law Group, Braun Intertec Corporation, Colliers and Commercial Partners Title.

The Scott reflects Dominium’s continued dedication to addressing the increasing need for affordable housing in Oklahoma and across the nation.
