Minnesota developer expands Florida portfolio with Daytona Beach market-rate community

Dominium announced today that it has acquired the property formerly known as Misty Springs, a 128-unit housing community in Daytona Beach, Fla.  The property has been renamed Epic Apartments.

Epic Apartments satisfies a growing need in the area for reasonably-priced, high quality market-rate rental housing.

Dominium is planning to complete a multi-million-dollar renovation of the property. Interior improvements include new kitchens with new cabinets and hardware, countertops and stainless-steel appliances, as well as new flooring and bathroom and kitchen plumbing fixtures.

Site deferred maintenance is being addressed and the exterior will receive many new upgrades including new landscaping and signage.  The clubhouse interior is also being renovated with an updated design and new furniture, providing a warm and inviting space for residents to gather.

“With the acquisition of Epic Apartments, Dominium continues its goal of adding quality market-rate housing to our portfolio,” said Dominium development associate, Michael Hudson. “Dominium creates long-term value for the communities we serve and provides best-in-class management services to our residents in market-rate investments like Epic Apartments.”

Epic Apartments was built in 1988. Dominium acquired the property on September 29th.
