Resident Internship Program Launch

At Dominium, we strive to create opportunities for our residents to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential. Kicking off next month, we are launching our new High School Resident Internship Program for our young residents with the desire to begin career training and develop important life skills to prepare them for the future.

Internships will be an opportunity for high schoolers to work in a professional setting, develop maintenance and/or office skills, work with a mentor and get a head start on a career in property management.

“Opening new doors for our community members is a large part of Dominium’s mission to make a positive difference in the cities and neighborhoods that we call home,” says Partner and Senior Vice President of Property Management Jack Sipes.

We know our apartment communities are full of residents with potential. This internship begins the same year as another resident development initiative – our scholarship program, Opportunity’s Front Door. By creating these opportunities for our residents, we are working to close the gap between potential and opportunity.

The High School Resident Internship Program runs from October 2020 through March 2021. Interns can expect to work two to four days per week for a total of approximately 12 hours and will receive a $10/hour wage.

Participating properties include:

FLORIDA:

  • Chapel Trace (Office)
  • Enclave at Pine Oaks (Maintenance)
  • Sawyer Estates (Office & Maintenance)
  • St. Cloud Village (Maintenance)
  • Village at Delray (Office)
  • Whistler's Green (Office)

TEXAS:

  • City Parc at West Oaks (Office & Maintenance)
  • Lakecrest Village (Maintenance)
  • Quail Chase (Office & Maintenance)
  • Sea Mist (Office & Maintenance)
  • Woodlands of Beaumont (Office & Maintenance)

We look forward to following our younger community members that take part in the internship program as they learn about the existing career opportunities in the property management industry while taking the next steps toward their future.
