Austin VanDerHeyden is a Government Relations Manager at Dominium.

In this role, he is responsible for managing and cultivating Dominium's relationships with elected officials, community members, state agencies, philanthropic organizations and industry partners at the state and local levels across the Mountain West.

He is responsible for shaping and advancing the public policy agenda at the state and local level throughout the Mountain West. Additionally, he represents Dominium before legislative, city councils and neighborhood meetings to provide advocacy for Dominium communities. He joined Dominium in February 2025.

Previously, VanDerHeyden worked as a Director of Municipal Affairs for the Goldwater Institute and Legislative Director with MCCL. In addition, he has worked on campaigns at the state and federal level.  

VanDerHeyden holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Political Science at Liberty University. His professional affiliations include Policy Committee for Nevada Housing Coalition, AZ Chapter of American Planning Association (APA), AZ Chapter of Urban Land Institute (ULI).
