Schmidt Brewery project ok’d by city of St. Paul: Twin Cities Business
March 24, 2011 - The St. Paul city counsel recently approved a plan to redevelop the Schmidt Brewery site. The loan will be divided between the West 7th Group and Dominium to aide in the rehabilitation of the building, “setting the stage for a years-long plan to build a mix of housing, retail and a "historic urban village" there.”
The West 7th Group is planning on renovating the Rathskeller and the brewery’s former keg house into a restaurant and reception hall, while Dominium will renovate the former bottle house into a 235 unit apartment complex.
