Dominium Promotes Chris Barnes to Vice President, Senior Project Partner

Dominium, today announced that it has promoted Chris Barnes to vice president, senior project partner where he will supervise multiple business units within the development team.

This is a newly created position for Dominium that was fueled by the company’s continued growth as it moves towards its goal to reach 40,000 units by the year 2025.

“As we continue along the path of expanding our business, it is imperative that we look for new ways to build our bench strength and pose us for continued growth,” said Armand Brachman, managing partner of Dominium. “Creating this new position enables Chris to take on new responsibilities and gain more experience in managing multiple development teams.”

In his new role, Barnes is responsible for supervising multiple team leaders within our development team while monitoring their development and acquisition pipelines. He is also continuing to oversee new project development, financing and acquisitions of his own portfolio.

“Chris is assuming additional responsibilities within the organization, which allows us to move some of the management responsibilities down the ladder,” said Mark Moorhouse, partner and senior vice president of development at Dominium. “Chris is well-suited for this role as he is a long-time employee, supports our core values and is committed to helping us develop our staff.”

Previously, Barnes was a vice president and project partner with Dominium responsible for identifying new sites and projects, overseeing construction, determining project feasibility and lease-up dates on new developments, and managing the disposition of certain assets. He also negotiated with local government, lenders, investors and third party vendors.

Barnes is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a member of the UW Real Estate Alumni Association, National Housing and Rehabilitation Association, Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers, and Council of Large Affordable Housing Owners.
