From Independence Day fireworks to Oktoberfest and beyond, our Highlands Ranch community hosts a wide assortment of special events twelve months a year! The Metro Districts of Highlands Ranch own and maintain an impressive network of outdoor recreation amenities.
With 21 parks, more than 70 miles of trails, and 2,000 acres of natural open space areas, Highlands Ranch is home to active people and a diverse wildlife population. In fact, 85 percent of homes in Highlands Ranch are located within one quarter mile of a park, open space area or trail.

Twenty years in the making, the new Highlands Ranch Town Center is a testimony to community interest and involvement — a labor of love brought to life by both municipal and private enterprise.
