Little Canada is centrally located on the northeast hub of the metropolitan freeway system, only minutes from the Minnesota State Capitol and downtown St. Paul and 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. Little Canada is a very unique, historic community. Did you know that we received our name from French Canadians who settled here long ago?

Our citizens are proud of their French Canadian heritage and we work hard to maintain our unique identity despite our busy metropolitan surroundings. Simply put, Ramsey County believes that counties are partners with the state and federal governments, working to meet the needs of the citizens, and trying to make better use of limited resources without raising taxes.

We are very committed to providing beautiful parks for all to enjoy, and fun, recreational activities for our adults and youth. The New City Park has many great features including walking trails, basketball court, and huge playground. The Provinces have easy access to downtown St. Paul or Minneapolis. We are close to major roads including 36, 694, and 35E, with many locations being able to travel on public bus routes. We are conveniently located within 15 minutes from many shopping centers, banks, restaurants, movie theaters, the library, the post office and much more.

Looking for a good place to eat close to home? Living at the Provinces, you are located close by to a variety of great restaurants. The closest grocery store is Cub Foods and US Bank is just down the street. The Health East St. John’s Hospital is just a few minutes drive from the Provinces.
