The beauty and refuge of the Minnesota River Valley has always drawn people to Saint Peter. Today the heart of the valley is still a gathering place...from bluff to river bottom, Saint Peter beckons. Our small town life is the good life. Walking down the street means greeting friends, neighbors and strangers alike with a smile and a hello. St. Peter is nestled in the beautiful Minnesota River Valley, 65 miles southwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul and 12 miles north of Mankato on four-lane US Hwy. 169.
St. Peter is located in South Central Minnesota, in the midst of some of the richest farm land in the world. Each year, our farms produce significant crops, and the town serves as an agri-business center. St. Peter is the county seat for Nicollet County and is the home of the prestigious Gustavos Adolphus College, which hosts 2,300 students.
A great way to meet your neighbor and get involved with the community is to participate in the many city and chamber sponsored activities. There are a few different parades every year, including an old fashioned 4th of July celebration.
There are also a variety of golf tournaments, music festivals, and more. Take a stroll through the Granlund Sculpture Garden or the Linnaeus Arboretum for a fun and educational afternoon. A blast from the past, stop into the Drugstore and Pharmacy Museum for a visit into the past and received a 1919 Root Beer soda from the soda fountain.
Fairview Apartments is adjacent to the local fairgrounds and is in an excellent location to the Nicollet County Schools. We are just minutes from the many shopping centers, banks, restaurants, movie theaters, a library, the post office and more!
