Blue Springs’ history is tied to the migration of settlers on their west-ward journey. Pioneers found the area to be an ideal stopover due to the abundance of cool, clean water from a spring of the Little Blue River; hence the name Blue Springs.  Blue Springs is a great place to call home. Our city has so much to offer. 

Check out the eighteen public parks, with 679 acres of park land. Blue Springs is fortunate to have a mix of city, county, and state parks available to its’ residents.  Blue Springs has a public pool, public golf course, tennis courts, softball and baseball fields and walking and jogging trails.
