The community of Aitkin has a population of about 2000 residents.  The city itself is located along the banks of the scenic Mississippi and is the county seat of Aitkin County.  Located at the crossroads of two major highways, the community offers a mix of unique shops and services.  As the county's business center, all the basic goods and services are available through the local establishments.
